Acupuncture involves placing very thin, sterile needles at specific points on the body while you rest quietly for around half an hour. Most people feel a mild pinch, then little else. In recovery, it is often used to ease withdrawal discomfort, reduce cravings, and calm the anxiety and restless sleep that come with early sobriety.
