Client Guidebook
The days before treatment starts are often the ones that raise the most questions. This guidebook walks you through what to expect at Merritt Recovery: how daily schedules take shape, how phone and visitor policies differ by program, how your case manager supports you, and the ways families stay connected.
Client Guidebook, The Details
The first few days at Merritt Recovery follow a set rhythm, and knowing that rhythm ahead of time makes the transition easier for you and for your loved one. Mornings begin with a check-in and medication pass where clinically appropriate, followed by group and individual sessions, meals at scheduled times, and quieter evening hours for reflection or rest.
Phone and visitor policies are not the same across every program. Detox and early stabilization usually limit outside contact so clients can focus on getting stable, while later phases open up more communication. Your case manager will explain exactly what applies to your program and when that changes.
Your case manager is your steadiest point of contact. They coordinate your treatment plan, track your progress, and help you prepare for what comes after discharge. Bring them your questions, even the small ones.
Families stay connected in a few practical ways:
- Scheduled family sessions and, where offered, education for relatives
- Updates through your case manager, with your loved one's written consent
- Visiting times set by the specific program
